Halloween is here!

We would like to talk about some top horror animes!
Are there any horror animes you have watched or would like to watch? Here are 3 horror animes you might be familiar with or might take an interest in it!

Higurashi

The adaptation of the beloved visual novel. It's a mystery, slice of life and horror anime. The mystery surrounds an old village where 2 people always went missing every year during the festival. The feeling of being dragged into the anime of figuring out the mysteries, which people to trust, witnessing murdering and abused gives of an eerie vibe to the anime. Afraid to find out who did it and what's going to happen next keeps people thrilled for the anime.

Made in Abyss

This is a series about a girl named Riko who explores the depth of the Earth “The Abyss” together with her friend Reg in hopes to find her mother. While it may look like an anime about adventuring and encountering the unknown, the show introduces gruesome and gory scenes that makes the anime very unsettling. It’s an anime to not judges by its cover.

Parasyte

This series is more noticeable for being a horror anime. The anime is about a highschooler named Izumi who becomes a victim of a parasitic organism Migi, who failed to take over Izumi's brain. It ended up infecting his arm instead and takes control of it, forced to have a partnership to fight off other parasites. Its main horror aspects are the body horrors of the parasite taking over humans, the bodies morphs into the parasite and therefore also shows signs of gore and many phobias.
