The kaomoji HQ members went to a horror themed escape room!
We were all spooked by it, some more than others. (I will not say who)
It was a great experience, but might be a bit too spooky to me. :(
We had another blog planned this week, but because we went into the scary area with the coworkers, we thought, why not a scary themed blog!
Not everything might fall into the horror genre, but man, they sure have really scary moments!
Let’s check them out. :)
Made In Abyss
Recommended by James:
The Abyss, a never ending looking cave into the depths of the earth. This cave is filled with mysterious creatures and even relics from a time long ago.
Questions still unanswered about the Abyss, for example; How did it come to be? What awaits us at the bottom?
Brave individuals, known as Divers, are trying to solve the mysteries of the Abyss for years! Fearlessly descending into the dark realm. Only the best and bravest of the Divers, the White Whistles, are seen as legends by those who stay on the surface.
Enter our main character, Riko, daughter of the missing White Whistle called Lyza the Annihilator. Riko aspires to be just like her, to explore the deepest parts of the Abyss.
However, she’s just a Red Whistle herself, a novice Diver only allowed to explore the most upper layer.
Even so, Riko makes an amazing discovery, finding a mysterious robot with the appearance of a normal young boy on the upper layer! He has no recollection of the events that happened before his discovery, not even his own name. Riko decides to name him Reg and suspects that the technology required to make Reg comes from deep within the Abyss.
The two pair up and decide to explore the Abyss together to recover his memories and to see the bottom of the cave with their own eyes. They however do not know of the harsh environments that exist within the Abyss, yet.
Ajin
Recommended by Quentin:
17 years ago, mysterious immortal humans known as Ajin started appearing in Africa. As soon as they were discovered, they were labeled as a threat, as they might use their powers for evil and are indestructible beings. Ever since then, as soon as an Ajin is discovered, they’ll be arrested and taken into custody.
Now enter our main character, Ken Nagai, who’s studying hard to become a doctor. Even though he’s in high school, he knows very little about Ajin, only seeing them in the news now and then.
Students are taught that these creatures are not to be seen as human, but Kei didn’t pay much attention in class. As a result of not paying attention, his little grasp on this subject proves to be completely irrelevant when he survives an accident that was supposed to kill him, revealing him as an Ajin and the start of his days full of torment. However, as he finds himself alone on the run, hiding from the entire world, Kei soon realizes that Ajins may be a lot closer than he thinks.

The world of dreams can be an amazing window into the human soul, showing your deepest desires, repressed memories and more! A tech lab has been working and developing the “DC Mini”, a device with the power to look into the dreams of others, even making it possible to show up in said dreams!
Our main character Atsuko Chiba has been working tirelessly to develop this technology to explore patients’ minds together with Kosaku Tokita. All in the hopes of using it to help cure them of their psychological disorders.
However, it carries a great responsibility to have access to the deepest corners of a person’s mind. In the wrong hands, the device could be used as a form of terrorrism, a psychological one, and cause mental breakdowns.
When this technology is stolen, people around them start acting strangely, out of their minds even!
Atsuko and Kosaku have a lot of trouble on their hands, asking help from officer Konakawa, who previously had been receiving this therapy.
They both search the real and dream world for the terrorist who’s causing havoc.
But how can you separate the dream and real world when they start to merge?
This recommendation is a movie! So just sit back, relax (?) and enjoy the ride!
So, are you ready to be creeped out?
I'm personally not a big fan of horror or just creepy things in general.
How about you? Have you seen some creepy anime?
